Colossians 1:9-12 9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. (NIV)

Pray this prayer for yourself, putting in the personal pronouns.  When we do we are asking God for our self to know His direction for our life. We want to please Him.  We want to grow in our knowledge of Him and become more one in Him.   It’s helpful to read these 4 verses in various other translations and also to commit them to memory so we can pray this often.  This is also a good pray to pray for our loved ones.  One thing we can be very sure is when we pray scripture, we know we are praying according to the will of God and that our prayer will definitely come about in the way we pray.  As we pray scripture, we are taking into us the very breath of God for scripture is (2 Timothy 3:16) 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
