Believe into Righteousness

Romans 4:3 3 What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Abraham was credited as righteous not because of anything he did.  He was credited with righteousness because He believed God.  He believed God to the point of total obedience regardless of what God asked him to do.  Abraham believed God had the power to raise his promised son up from the dead.  Was Abraham perfect?  No.  But Abraham believed God in and through his own imperfections.  We must ask ourselves if we really believe God in everything He says?  Are there words in the Holy Bible we choose to ignore?  If we truly believe God we won’t choose to ignore any word from God – including those words that require sacrifice on our part.  If we truly believe God we won’t shut our ears to the Holy Spirit when we pray.  IF we truly believe God we will not fear, worry or be anxious.  Let us take time to listen to the Holy Spirit, asking Him to reveal to us areas where our belief is weak or absent.  Let us believe to the point of being credited with righteousness – the righteousness of Jesus.
