Learning from Failures

Luke 22:33 33 But he replied, “Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death.” (NIV)
I really relate to Peter.  He responds with such assuredness before he even stops to think.  Jesus just finished saying all the sheep would be scattered.  Look at Peter’s track record.  He was rebuked by Jesus more than any other because of his fast answers.  He was the one who walked on the water but after a late thought, started to sink.  So often we are too quick to respond.  We live in a world ruled by hustle and rush.  We need to learn the ability for what I call “flash prayer.”  It’s when we are faced with a decision that needs to be made right away.  We stop for a moment and ask God to tell us what to decide.  As long as we have developed a one-on-One relationship with Him through prayer and Bible study, we will hear most every time.  There are times we might not hear anything.  Those are times we must put off making a decision to take it into more prayer, waiting on God for the right timing and the right decision.  Peter learned through his failures.  Just read on and learn how Peter’s ministry grew and blossomed.  We must learn from our failures so our ministry can also bloom and blossom.
