Blemishes

1 Peter 1:19 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.   (NIV)

When God sent His Son to become flesh and blood just as we are, we must ask how did He walk this life on earth without sin?  Jesus lived constantly aware of the very real presence of His Father.  He spent time apart talking with His Father. Jesus’ sole purpose on this earth was to do the will of the Father.  In comparing ourselves with Jesus we fall vastly short.  Most of our thinking and awareness time is about ourselves.  We are more aware of our trials than we are of God’s very real presence.  We spend more time complaining and fretting than we do thanking and praising.  It takes time and discipline to bring ourselves into a constant and consistence awareness of our Father always being with us.  The more aware we become the less we fall into temptation.  Let us choose to consciously become aware of God’s very real presence through our Bible study, meditation and frequent conversations with Him.  Let us have fewer blemishes from sin.
