Costly Treasure

Matthew 26:28 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.  (NIV)

Jesus paid dearly for God to have His treasure (us).  He paid with the shedding of His blood and tremendous pain and rejection.  All the gold and silver and gems in the world aren’t as valuable as the blood of Jesus.  We were bough with the greatest of cost.  Since we are so treasured by God, how dare we not love ourselves and care for ourselves.  Since our fellow mankind is equally treasured by God, how dare we not love our fellow mankind.  There is no room for us in our treasured state to have unforgiveness or hate for any other of God’s treasures.  It matters not how rich, poor, educated, uneducated, powerful, beautiful, ugly or any other characteristic anyone else has, they are treasured equally.  As we relate to others, let us remember how much it cost Jesus to enable God to have His treasures
