Worshiping Together

From Hebrews 10 in the Message Translation  So, let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out.  Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going.  He always keeps His word.  Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

These few verses in this translating say a good bit very distinctly.  First, we must be confident of who we are and how Father God sees us.  He sees us fully robed in the righteous of His Son.  Next, we are to take a firm grip on the promises Jesus revealed to us.  We can’t do that unless we are reading, studying and meditating on the written word of God, the Holy Bible.  Then we must be worshiping together.  When we go to a church service, we must be speaking to others that are there.  We need to be encouraging and helping one another.  When we go to our worship service and greet others with “How are you?” do we really listen or even encourage them to really tell us how their week has gone?  As Christians, we are the Family of God.  Family members pull together and help each other.  They know when one of them has a problem and is walking through a trial.  Let us be sure we treat one another as family.  Let us truly take the time to be apart of one another’s lives.
