John 9:39 39 Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”  (NIV)

To understand this verse we must read all of John 9.  After we read it we see Jesus is talking about spiritual blindness.  Those who have pride claiming they know the answers, they are good and they’re the ones who are right in and of themselves are blind spiritually.  We can only see through the eyes of our Lord.  When we admit to being blind without His seeing trough us we are then able to see for we have humbly come to Him admitting we can’t see or understand without His grace.  Pride comes from Satan.  We can say pride is satanic.  Pride was the first sin done by then angel Lucifer.  Lucifer used the lure of pride against Eve and Adam.  Pride separates us from God.  Pride is a strong lure.  Pride is something we must be on guard against.  We have a saying, pride goes before a fall.  We need the sword of the Spirit, the written word of God, the Holy Bible deep into our minds to defeat the lure of pride.  No matter how many times I write about staying in the word of God, the Holy Bible, it is never enough.  Jesus gave us the example of using the sword of the Spirit when He went into the wilderness and was tempted by Satan.  He used the sword of the Spirit, quoting the scriptures.  Let us follow the example of our Lord.  Let us know the scripture and recognize without the Lord we are totally blind.
