Doing My Part

Jeremiah 5:23 23 But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts; they have turned aside and gone away.  (NIV)

Nation after nation, including the United States, has been turning away from God.  We need to recognize what is going on in this world.  We have fires, storms, locust, viruses, unstable stock markets and on and on.  We who are followers of Jesus Christ and worship God the Father, have been lazy in doing our part to bring and keep His light in our nations.  We are allowing laws to be passed which try to inhibit our freedom not only to share the good news of God to others but to pray and worship and do business according to His principles.  We have been silent too long.  Let us be careful who we vote into power in this nation.  We need to research the candidates, look at their life style and pray about them before we vote.  We need to cooperate with God and give our people more time to come into the Light of God before Jesus returns to collect His Bride (the believers who follow Him.).  We each have a part.  We must ask ourselves, “Am I doing my part?”

When Jesus Comes

Romans 13:11 11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.  (NIV)

There are a lot of prophecies on You-Tube.  Not knowing the people giving them we must be cautious and check the out with the written word of God, the Holy Bible.  Jesus said no man knows when He will return – not even Him.  What we can know is every minute gets us one-minute closes to His return.  In the meantime, we are to live ready for His return having Him find us doing what He has called us to do.  He told us about being ready through the parable of the 10 virgins and their lamps and oil.  Instead of trying to determine exactly where we are on God’s time clock we would do better to check where we are in our faith and our walk with Him.  Many are mostly concerned with feeding their intellects and showing how much they know.  We do better to feed our spirits and showing God our love and our desire to walk with Him 24X7.  Yes, Jesus is coming for His bride – the believers and followers in Him.  Let us continue to “groom” ourselves for the wedding feast trusting the Father for the timing.
