Bowels of Insence

Revelation 5:8 8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the tBonty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. (NIV)

Our prayers are more than connecting with God’s power for fulfilling immeasurable things on this earth.  They are as the sweetest smelling incense to God.  God treasures our prayers.  Prayers are our means to express our love to God.  We desire to shower God with our love but we think we don’t know how or are unable to shower Him with enough love.  Our prayers are our means to shower God with our love.  This alone should be more than enough to give us the desire to pray unceasingly.  We can do this as long as we remember prayer is a 2-way conversation with God.  We can talk with Him throughout our day no matter what we are doing.  When we’re alone we can talk aloud.  When others are around we can talk with Him in our minds, our thoughts, expressing them to Him.  Let us overflow so many golden bowls with the incense of our prayers that heaven runs out of bowls.
