Proverbs 8:1. Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?

God is wisdom. It is God Who is calling out. He’s calling every person to come to Him. He continually speaks His Word to bring us into understanding of His mighty love for us. he so desires for each of us to return to the oneness He put into the first person He created. That oneness came when God breathed His breath of life into the man. God’s Holy Spirit is available to breath that breath of life into us. Our question is do we want that breath of life? With that breath comes responsibilities which will continue that breath within us. These responsibilities are written in “the Book of Life” the Holy Bible. Are you breathing that breath?

Unexpected

Luke 21:34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap (The Holy Bible, New International Version.).

So close to the cross and feeling the antagonistic atmosphere around Him Jesus still teaches and gives warnings about places and things which can cause us separation from God. From time to time we find our minds and hearts full of the anxieties of life. We live in the “what ifs” and “when this then this” mentalities. We fail to pay attention to the spiritual. We stay distracted. Jesus will return at an unexpected time. No man knows when. No man knows when he or she will draw their last breath on this earth. Jesus warns us to be careful. As He said in Matthew 6 we are not to be anxious about tomorrow. We are to live in the here and now. We only have our present time. What is past is past and we cannot revise it. What is ahead is ahead and we can’t mold it to come to us at our liking. If our hearts are to be weighed down it is to be with God’s sadness over loosing one soul. What are we doing to prevent that? We have the power through His Holy Spirit to live and example of the joy of God and to speak of Him to those around us. Will they believe us? Not if our lives show worry and anxiety over the future. Our question is what do others see when they look at us? Do they see the love and peace of Jesus or do they see more of the worry and anxiety of the worldly life? It’s our choice. What do you choose?

In His Hand

Job 12:10 In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind (The Holy Bible, New International Version)

God holds our very breath in His hand. The next breath we take is taken by the grace and permission of God. The book of Job is a good example of how nothing can touch us without first passing through God’s hand. God is the One Who pointed Job out to Satan. God is the One Who allowed Satan to do all he did to Job and Job’s family. God is the One Who put constraints on how much Satan could do to Job. When we think things are against us we must look to God. He allows trials to come our way to teach us, to increase our faith and trust in Him and to show others how He works. We already know the outcome. God has already promised to be with us always. He has promised to love us and to meet all our needs. He has promised we would have eternal life with Him. We are the ones who make things so very difficult. He tells us to have the faith of a little child. A little child lives in the present. A little child goes with the parent wherever the parent takes him. A little child has complete trust in the parent. Where is our complete trust in God? Let us choose this day to never worry about tomorrow again. Let us choose to stay our mind on God. Let us encourage others to do the same. God is faithful. God is good.
