School or Drop-out

John 20:17 Jesus replied, “Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. ”

From the words of Jesus His Father is also our Father and His God is also our God.  If we really meditate on this it will blow our mind.  Jesus is saying we are equal in our relationship through Jesus with God.  There is one catch to that.  The only way this can be is for us to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  Jesus said He is the only way into God’s family.  We cannot work our way.  We cannot find our way alone or through any other form of religion.  We must humble ourselves, acknowledge and confess we are sinners, accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, accept His atonement for our continual sins on the cross and desire to walk as He walked on this earth in obedience to God and love for mankind.  When we do this He fills us with His Holy Spirit Who empowers us to walk in obedience and love.  We get very impatient and upet when we find we still disobey and find we still don’t love mankind.  It takes time and growth.  It takes going to school – the school of life experiences, the study of God’s written word (the Bible) and the school of 2-way prayer and meditation.  This school makes life very exciting and full.  Our question is are we willing to go to school and stay in school are will be be drop-outs?
