Mark 16:7. But go, tell his disciples, even Peter, that he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you.”

Jesus appeared to them and then was gone.  What next.  The remembered what the angels said about going to Galilee where Jesus would meet them.  It was about 60 miles on foot.  That took a good number of days of the next week.  I would have liked to listen in as they talked on their trip.  Most of the grief probably disappeared by then but they were probable still in hopes that He was about to established His Kingdom here on this earth.  They probable wondered about what part each of them would have in the new kingdom.  Sometimes we forget these disciples were very normal people as we are.  We sometimes wonder when Jesus will come back to establish His new kingdom and claim His Bride.  We may wonder what we will do in His Kingdom.  Our question is what are we doing now in preparation for His kingdom?  We each have a part.  Ask Him to show you your part today for today.

Healing Broken Hearts

2Co 7:6 But God, who comforts the downcast, Ps 73:26 My flesh and my heart l may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. 2Co 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

What do we to do when our heart breaks? We have lost someone or been hurt or rejected. Scripture is full of verses that deal with the broken heart. When our heart is crushed or broken we must look to God for He alone is the healer of broken hearts. So many become embittered or angry with God. They ask, “Why didn’t God prevent this situation?” Out of His love for us, He gave us freedom choice. He is not responsible for our choices nor are we responsible for the choices of others. Their choices might hurt us in a mighty way but God did not cause the pain. We must put aside our bitterness or anger and look to God. We must allow Him time to heal our broken hearts. This kind of healing takes time. Do not be discouraged. Wait on the Lord and He will heal our broken hearts.
