Psalms 65:11. You crown the year with your good blessings, and you leave abundance in your wake.

Many are in the habit of making resolutions to begin the New Year.  Most often these resolutions fall by the wayside within weeks or even days.  Instead of making resolutions that probably last, lets offer a prayer request to God.  Let’s pray this scripture verse not only for ourselves and our loved ones but for our countries and the world.  We can’t ask God to do this unless we are willing to do our part to carry His blessings out into our lives, the lives of those around us and in our service to our countries.  Our question is are we willing to listen, obey and serve God in whatever way He chooses?  May this be the prayer and action of all who confess the name of Jesus.

New Year’s Resolutions

Pr 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding

Many people make New Year’s Resolutions.  Usually, around two or three weeks they find they cannot keep their resolutions.  This could be for many reasons.  The primary reason for not keeping a resolution is lack of commitment.  When we make a resolution we should talk it over with God.  When we seek His wisdom and respond to it we can be assured the resolutions we make are in His will for our lives.  When we have that assurance, commitment is easier.  Today is the day to start seeking God and His wisdom.  Then, if He leads you to make a resolution for the new year, ask Him to help you carry it out.  Remember, all things are possible with God.
