Ephesians 3:12 in whom we have boldness and confident access to God because of Christ’s faithfulness.

It is awesome that we are allowed to give boldness to approach God.  When we consider who God is and compare it to who we are it is really beyond comprehension that  He would allow us to speak to Him, let alone ask Him for anything.  It is because of His love  for  us and His sending His Word, Jesus, His only Son to come to earth in the form of us sinful beings.  Jesus showed us how to walk without sin, died for total and permanent payment for our sins and rose to return to heaven to show us we, through Him could also rise from human death to live with God through all eternity.  That, by itself is more than wonderful.  Yet God doesn’t stop there.  He allows us to come before Him with our praises and requests with complete boldness – that is complete confidence that through Jesus we have full right to approach God.  Our question is are we making use of the right Jesus has given us?  Let us as come with praises and petitions before God’s throne of grace throughout all our days.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (The Holy Bible, New International Version)

When we find ourselves in need we are allowed to approach the throne of God’s grace with the confidence of a small child reaching up for the parent. I find I am always in need to approach His grace and mercy. I know in and of myself I can do nothing. Without God my life is worthless. It is only through Him I can find purpose for my life. It is only through Him I gain knowledge and wisdom. It is only through His Son, Jesus that my life will have no end. Right now I am studying His Word and learning how to prepare for graduation to His throne room. Just as we must study in school for our graduation and pass tests, we must also study God’s word in this school of life on earth to prepare for our graduation to His throne room. We have various tests along the way so we can see what areas in us need more study and growth. My aged friend told me a day without her learning something new about her God was a day wasted. Our question is have we learned something new of our God this day? Let not a day go by without doing so.

Left His Throne

Jn 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven —the Son of Man.

No other being has ever willingly stepped down from a throne and a beautiful home full of praises to come into the humblest of state.  He walked through dangerous times, went to school, learned obedience to His earthly parents and withstood  persecution so we could know His Father.  What He has done is beyond the scope of our own finite  minds to understand.  The cost is greater than we’ll ever know or experience ourselves.  Just these facts alone should be enough to make praise and thanksgiving well up inside of us.  If Jesus was obedient, how much more should we be obedient to His Word.  We can start by praising Him and reaching out in love to our fellow man.
